One Awesome Summer- playing catch up
Summer is flying by! I cannot believe we are nearly half-way through August.
This guy went to camp for a week. He stayed with his grandparents and attended a youth program in the mountains. Doesn’t he look so grown up? It was hard having him gone…I won’t lie. I kept decorating his room and finding excuses to call 🙂
We took the kids to the horse track for breakfast and took a tour of the “backstretch” to see the horses working out and get a behind the scenes glimpse of life at the track. It was so cool! We all had a great time.
J was on vacation this week- we enjoyed lots of dinners out, park time, even a parade to celebrate our new town’s history.
We also went to a wedding this past weekend to celebrate Nellie and Joe. It was held in the most gorgeous mountain setting and might be the most fun I’ve had at a wedding. I learned how to play bocce ball and we danced for at least 5 hours straight.
This week, we will be taking a deep breath and working on losing some vacation pounds 🙂
