Heathy Eating Rehab

April 26, 2012

It’s so easy to lose track these days.  Still, I thought it was high time to regain focus on feeding my family healthy meals and working on incorporating more whole foods on a daily basis.  With everything on my agenda…if I don’t force myself to pay attention it never happens.

Enter Breakfast.

Two organic whole grain frozen waffles (talk about convenience!), a scant half cup of low fat greek yogurt, a tsp of real maple syrup for sweetness, and a half cup of mixed berries. Real food that satisfies for less than 350 calories. I enjoyed mine with cinnamon coffee.

For the kids–I cut the waffles into strips for easy dipping and added more maple syrup to the yogurt for sweetness.

I got the idea from this month’s Self Magazine’s Drop Ten Challenge. Looking forward to trying more of their super food recipes soon!
