Happy Tot…Happy Mommy?
I am a
lazy busy mom.
I love having healthy snacks on hand for the kids and myself when we’re dashing from preschool to the playground…but I don’t always have a ton of time to chop fruits and veggies or make something that meets my high standards.
Enter Happy Tot.
These portable pouches contain a mixture of fruits, veggies, and the “super grain” Salba (Chia Seeds) which contain Omega 3 fatty acids. They taste like the apple sauce version of a green smoothie. Yum! They contain no soy, wheat, dairy, or gluten and are loaded with vitamins A, C, and are packed with fiber. These little gems fit easily into your purse and are the most nutritious emergency snack that I have ever seen.
I have to confess, I love them too.
I mean…what mom hasn’t polished off a bag of bunny grahams in a fit of hunger? It’s only natural to taste a bit of these squeezable snacks packed with yummy fruits and veggies. The spinach, mango, and pear is my favorite with 90 calories and 5 grams of fiber. It’s the green smoothie that I don’t have time to prepare and I don’t even have to clean a blender. Not to mention, at 1.19 per pouch at my local grocery store it costs less than the ingredients to make a smoothie of my own. I like to chill them in the fridge and stash them in my insulated lunch bag for play dates. Now that I know how awesome they are…I pack extra for myself 🙂
