Weighing In. Week 9
As of Friday, I had lost 1.5 lbs for the week. After Memorial Day weekend, I’m up 2. Frustrating!
I’m hoping it’s water.
We had such a great weekend with friends. On Sunday, we spent the afternoon at a local vineyard. The kids ran rampant while adults enjoyed a wine tasting and a picnic. Monday was spent at the park in the morning, and then off to lunch with friends in the afternoon. One of J’s buddies brews his own beer and the guys were boiling hops and discussing secret recipes while the ladies made mango margaritas. I honestly didn’t think much about calories the entire weekend. Between cheese, wine, pizza, chinese food, margaritas, and chips and guacamole–it’s no big surprise that my number is up on the scale. If the calories didn’t get me….the sodium sure would!
Nothing to do but dust the tortilla chips off and keep plugging along. I totally dreaded the weigh in this morning. I was so excited on Friday to be within 5 lbs of my goal! I just have to keep reminding myself to stay positive. Weight goes up and weight comes down. It is rarely ever static. I do have to continue to make choices and work hard to reach my goals–but I am not sorry for spending a weekend enjoying friends, family, and food.
