Here we go….

May 27, 2011

Leighton wants the tricycle. WANTS IT.

My “real” camera has a dead battery so I had to capture these with the lap top.

She’s really NOT happy that she can’t ride the tricycle without Morgan sharing and without Mommy helping her to sit down and balance…and well…everything.  I am cursing the fact that I only have 2 hands. Seeing this girl grip with handlebars with fierce determination and seeing her grin when we push her down the hall is priceless. Her chubby legs kick and the wind blows her little chicken hair up at an angle. She giggles and eats it up when big brother grips the back of that red plastic seat and attempts to give her whiplash by pushing too fast and too hard.

I’m thinking that even though Morgan’s tricycle will be hers (most likely) by the time she can sit and pedal…she really needs one of those fancy ones with the seat belt and stick attached to the back so that I am not bent into a total pretzel for the next year as I hold her on and try to push her as fast and as often as she wants to go.

Sweet Morgan. In spite of  NEEDING to make a silly face for the web cam each time it takes a picture….he’s an awesome big brother. He told Leighton “we can share” and was quick to come up with a plan. He circled the kitchen and went up and down the hall….scooting up to her and saying cheerfully “Your turn!”

The carnage.

I try to have a clean house…but what fun is that??

Looks like a good time was had by all. How awesome it is that he likes to share. That’s good big brother material right there! ; >

Tricycles today, and before you know it they will be scheming against you and Jeremy for the keys to somebody’s car!

What a blessed life you have Jen!

So awesome that Morgan likes to share! And I love to hear how determined Leighton is to ride on big brother’s trike.

Sam has been using Poppy’s pink plastic car thingy that has a seatbelt and a push handle in the back – I think we found it on craigslist for $10 a few years ago – you should see if you can find one in your area!
