Nie Nie

September 15, 2008

Some of you may be wondering about the pink button to the right on our blog–It’s for the couple that you see in the photo above.
Stephanie–who writes the Nie Nie Dialogues–and her husband were seriously injured in a private plane crash in August. Although Stephanie is the most critically injured, with burns on 80% of her body, both will require long hospitalizations and multiple surgeries.
You can follow the links on the button or go to her sister’s web page for more information.
When I first heard about what happened, I spent a log time on the Nie Nie dialogues–wandering around in Stephanie’s world. Her blog is beautifully composed and such a sweet tale of a beautiful family. At just 27 years of age she is the proud mom of 4 little ones and a devoted wife. It breaks my heart to know that such a tragedy has occured in this wonderful family.
You can donate to the Nie Nie recovery fund by using pay-pal or by supporting some of the numerous fund-raising events held in the Arizona area that the Nielson family called home.
More than anything, keep them in your prayers.
We are all connected in this life–When I told Jeremy about them and began to read the blogs, I realized that he had gone to medical school with one of her cousins and that he was a year behind Jeremy in his residency!
